Family-owned, family-managed, the wines are made by second generation Winemaker Chris Seifried and sister Assistant Winemaker Heidi (a qualified dentist). Younger sister Anna is in charge of the New Zealand and US markets. Gold Medallist at the International Wine Challenge Vienna 2020, this Nelson Sauvignon Blanc is fragrant with green guava and grapefruit. The aromatics are matched by a minerally note, richness and intensity of fruit, and bountiful freshness. Delicious as an aperitif and a wonderful pairing for seafood and throughout a dim sum lunch.
Monte Antico Toscana IGT Sangiovese Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Lively capsicum/ blueberry fruit with lots of vitality. Crisp tannins from skin and pips. Tuscan red that will be even more delicious decanted 45 to 60 minutes ahead. If you only enjoy full-bodied, heavy reds, this is not for you. On the other hand, if you like your reds fresh, lifted, and full of energy, you will enjoy this medium-bodied Sangiovese/Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon thoroughly. Excellent with roast chicken, duck, lamb, steak and beef dishes.
