Tenuta di Arceno Chianti Classico 2018

Rated a very good to great vintage, there is excellent fruit, tannins, and freshness in this 2018 Chianti Classico. Red ruby in complexion, the intense medium-plus bodied fruit includes red cherries and plums. Elegant silky tannins. Fruit to tannins to freshness is a seamless, harmonious package. The wine was aged 10 months in French oak and is made up of 85% Sangiovese and 15% Merlot. Winemaker Lawrence Cronin rates this alongside the great 2015 vintage. Decant 30 to 45 minutes.
