Tasting Notes
On the nose, anticipate an indulgent character, showing juicy plums, warming spices and dark chocolate. On the palate savour rich, fruity blackcurrants, charred oak and a sweet nuttiness. The finish is satisfyingly long, replicating all that went before.
Editor’s Note
The Chinese couplet – 寒從春雪消 and 福逐夏雲興 – on the label and gift box translates as Coldness Goes with the Spring Snow and Luck Comes with the Summer Clouds respectively. Scallywag is the name of Fred Laing’s beloved terrier.
